In conjunction with HDMI biennial symposium.

Interoperability of eHealth solutions is identified as key prerequisite to be able to meet the needs of the patients, in a sustainable and cost efficient manner. This challenge has been explicitly identified in most of the initiatives mentioned above, including US-EC MoU that calls for further harmonization around standards and integration activities. In the context of regional and national eHealth programs in many countries in the region, we see more interest and need to further educate, share experiences and stimulate innovation around eHealth interoperability.
